The infographic poster, edited by Tempus_Art, was rigorously designed, based on credible historical studies, to mark the 500th anniversary of the voyage and constitutes a veritable synthesized history lesson: it represents a detailed map of the expedition, makes the geo-strategic and political framework, traces the profile of the main protagonists, presents the typology of the ships used in the voyage, shows the multinational character of the crew and makes known the navigation instruments of the time.
The map, very rich and detailed, shows the route led by Fernão de Magalhães, with its most significant dates and moments: the passage of the Estreito de Magalhães; the 1st Crossing of the Pacific Ocean; the Arrival in the East and the Death of Magalhães, as well as the route back to Europe, of the Nau Victoria, led by Sebastián Elcano.
Its pedagogical value gives it a stimulating utility as a support tool for educational practice (schools, students and teachers) and its visual richness makes it a suggestive decorative piece for study rooms, offices, living rooms and conviviality, both in institutional and family environments.
